Privacy Policy

Math Hero is a children's learning app. We limit server data to what is needed to issue and maintain a Student ID, connect a student profile to an app installation, prevent duplicate registration, provide account support, protect service security and stability, and prepare for recovery features that a user may request in the future.

We do not require a child's full name, school, phone number, home address, contacts, photo, advertising ID, IMEI, MAC address, precise location, camera data, microphone data, or payment information entered inside the app.

The server may process a student nickname, age, grade level, public Student ID, internal student or profile identifiers, an anonymous authentication identifier, an app installation identifier, device platform, app version, and registration or update timestamps.

The public Student ID is an identifier used for account support and future service-access connections. It is not a password or a Recovery Key. Authorized Math Hero support personnel may use the public Student ID to locate the relevant server record when responding to a parent or guardian.

A Recovery Key is private. The original Key can currently be viewed only on the student's device. The server stores only a one-way verification hash and never stores or displays the original Recovery Key. Math Hero staff and Support cannot view, retrieve, or resend it.

Keep the Recovery Key securely with a parent or guardian. Do not include it in an email, support message, public post, chat room, or social-media message. The Math Hero website does not ask for or store the original Recovery Key.

Problem-solving history, level progress, attendance, badges, and other primary learning records are currently stored mainly on the student's device. Complete server backup of learning data and full restoration to a new device are not currently available.

A Student ID and Recovery Key provide a foundation for future account or device recovery, but they do not guarantee that locally stored learning progress can be restored. If both the previous device and a verified recovery method are unavailable, some or all local progress may be unrecoverable.

Server data is used to issue and activate an official Student ID, connect a student profile to the correct app installation, prevent duplicate registration, support account questions, maintain security and service stability, and support future recovery workflows requested by a user.

Math Hero does not sell this data and does not use it for targeted advertising or third-party advertising.

Math Hero uses Supabase as an authentication and server-data storage provider. Service providers process data only as needed to provide the relevant technical service, subject to their applicable terms and safeguards.

If a parent or guardian contacts support, the support service may retain the email address, message, public Student ID, and support timestamps needed to respond and maintain an appropriate support record.

Never send a Recovery Key, authentication token, password, full card number, or other secret to Math Hero Support.

Math Hero is designed for children's learning. Account-support and data-deletion requests concerning a student should be made by a parent or guardian. Math Hero does not direct children to make external payments or contact external services on their own.

Server records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, security, support, and applicable operational or legal requirements. A parent or guardian may request deletion through the Data Deletion Request page.

Deleting a server Student ID and related server records may remove future account-support or recovery options. Learning records stored locally on a device may need to be removed separately by using the app's Reset Local Data option or uninstalling the app.
